21 December 2010

I can now announce that I will be starring as Jamie Wellerstein in The Last Five Years at The Tabard Theatre in Chiswick, London.

I am extremely excited to be working on the project, and really look forward to working opposite Lauren Samuels who will have just finished her run as Sandy in Grease on the West End. Lauren can also be remembered as a finalist on BBC 1's Over the Rainbow.

Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years is a contemporary story that explores a five-year relationship between Jamie and Cathy a rising novelist, and a struggling actress, falling in and out of love. It is told from two angles: Cathy’s story travels backwards in time, from the end of their marriage to when they first met, and Jamie’s story traces the relationship from the beginning to its sad conclusion. The music combines classic Broadway with funk and rock, an emotional and often comical story that has won a loyal following around the world.

The show will be directed by Drew Baker (Our House, Beauty and the Beast, Songs for a New World) and Musical Direction by Lee Freeman.

The show runs from February 9 - March 5 and you can book tickets right now at The Tabard Theatre website.
